Yes, for liability claims only. You will need workers compensation coverage for employee injuries.
Are Independent Contractors covered under my general liability policy?
Yes, automatically covered for pet sitter endorsement.
For trainers, house sitters, groomers and kennels they must be added to the policy.
Do I need Workers Compensation coverage?
If you have employees, yes. You are responsible for injuries to your employees.
Do I have a deductible if I make a claim?
Yes, currently $250.
Do claims impact my coverage?
Yes. If you have too many claims, the insurance company will typically raise the premium or non-renew your coverage.
Does defense coverage reduce the amount of coverage I have in a claim?
Not with our policy. Some of our competitor policies will reduce the $1,000,000 in coverage by the amount of Defense dollars paid.
